I've spent a bit of time recently going round corners. I find it less expensive and more comfortable than going straight on when the road bends. Corners are probably the most common hazard that we face as drivers, and yet it is the one that is probably least well dealt with by most motorists.
Before you ever turn the wheel, the most important thing is how you prepare for a corner:-
- assess the corner very early
- select a line to enter the corner
- slow down enough or slightly more
- set the vehicle up on a stable platform
How we enter, go through the mid-bend and exit can be covered another time - this is just about preparation and set-up whilst still on the straight.
